Colleagues,

I want to bring this UC-specific fellowship opportunity to your attention
in case you have a graduate student who graduated from an Indian or
Pakistani university in the designated are (see map) who is:

 *To be eligible, a student must (1) *be a graduate of an Indian or
Pakistani university in the designated area1, * (2) *be committed to
returning to her or his country of origin after receiving the degree, and *(3)
**not *have engaged previously in graduate study at any other institution
of higher learning in the United States. The donor (Mr. Maughan) also
specified that individuals already holding the master’s degree will have
preference.

Nominations are due by April 26 so please get any nominations to me by
April 25 (and if you can let me know sooner if you will be nominating
anyone, even better!) Thank you!
