Hello QSB,
We are holding a Software Carpentry workshop for graduate students in
the natural sciences on August 17-18 at the Yosemite Field Station.
Topics covered will include reproducible data management, analysis and
visualization using the shell, R, and git.
This workshop is aimed primarily at graduate students in the natural
sciences, but will be open to other graduate students, postdocs, or
faculty as space permits. Some familiarity with computational tools is
helpful but not required. Fostering diversity is a key goal, and
students from groups underrepresented in computation are particularly
encouraged to apply.
For more information and to apply please see the application form

Applications are due Friday, June 23.
Thank you,
Emily Jane McTavish (ejmctavish at ucmerced.edu) and Jessica Blois
