[QSB-grads] [ESEE] Meet other grads/post-docs, talk science, career development, and life over snacks and drinks!

Hello,

Welcome to the new semester!  ESEE is a group of graduate students and
postdocs interested in Environmental Systems, Ecology and Evolution. We
meet once a month to discuss topics in these fields, socialize, and work on
career development. We are also soon to be a George Wright Society
<http://www.georgewright.org/> Student Chapter.

We're interested in building connections between graduate groups and labs
through interdisciplinary discussions in an informal environment.  Please
join us for our first meeting of the semester (details below).  *We will
have introductions, a short talk from the group of students who recently
participated in the **inaugural student summit of the George Wright Society
to discuss the future of protected areas, **information on upcoming
elections (multiple officer positions will be available), **and open
discussion.*  Snacks and drinks will be provided, but feel welcome to
contribute as well!

*Meeting*: Wednesday, September 14th
*When*: 7:00–9:00 p.m.
*Where*: 912 W. 23rd St. (house of Justin Yeager – post-doc in Dan Edwards
lab)

If you would like to participate and need a ride please respond to me and I
will coordinate one for you; we don't want anybody to be left out!
