[QSB-grads] [ESEE] Officer nominations and practice talks

Dear ESEE members,

Two items of business.

*(1) Officer nominations:* Please submit your self-nomination *by this
Friday (Oct 7th)* if you're interested in holding an officer position.
Submit nominations to lschiebelhut at ucmerced.edu indicating the position for
which you'd like to run, and whether you'd be happy to be considered for an
alternate position if one needs filling.  Bylaws for the organization are
attached.

*(2) Interested in giving a practice talk at the upcoming meeting?*  If
interested, please email me at lschiebelhut at ucmerced.edu so I can
coordinate talks.  ESEE meetings are a great place to run through talks for
conferences or qualifying exams and get some informal feedback.  Practice,
practice, practice!  The next meeting is tentatively planned for the week
of Oct 19th.

If you have any questions please feel free to write to me (
lschiebelhut at ucmerced.edu).  Please also feel welcome to pass this email
along to any grad student that might be interested, as I'm uncertain
whether this list is all-inclusive.
