Happy new (academic) year everyone!

As the new chair of the UC Merced Philosophy department, I wanted to give you an overview of the events we have planned for this Fall. These details are also available on the department’s website<https://philosophy.ucmerced.edu/events>.

All of these events are open to students, faculty, and members of the public, both here at UC Merced and in our extended community.

Philosophy Speaker Series

Reading Room

A weekly opportunity to read for class, research, or just for fun.  Tea and snacks provided by the Philosophy Department.

Each Wednesday, September 4 - December 4, 2-4pm

COB2 390 on Sep 25, Oct 2, and Dec 4


Social Events

The department is planning some social events, but these are TBD depending on our budget for the academic year.
