[Ored-listserv] Guidance for suspended research activities with UCLA

Dear Colleagues,

In light of the recent suspension<https://view.bp.e.ucla.edu/?qs=e700b2ef3b38a607f0b23166327ddf383dba70089efe0f6dea8ce33084d07b1065a38cf694c89aa428f665abac599cfc0427c5f037035ff6f09474468f21d832830108f90153abee913b780b130fd11ff7766a1927779f97> of several grants  at UCLA by the NIH, NSF, and DOE, where UCLA serves as the lead institution, questions have emerged regarding the handling of subawards to and from UCLA as well as the submission of new proposals to these agencies.

Today, UC Merced received guidance from the UC Office of the President (UCOP) on how to address these concerns. UCOP has established a dedicated website<https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/federal-updates/research>  to organize and share the most current information, including a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) and related guidance. This site will be updated regularly as new developments arise.

The University of California is actively monitoring the situation and working to minimize disruption to ongoing research.  ORED will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
