Grants and Awards Announcement Dear Non-Senate Academics, On behalf of the
Non-Senate Academics Council (NSAC), I am pleased to announce that the NSAC
Executive Committee (NSAC-EC) has elected to continue with offering
excellence awards and research innovation grants to non-senate academics

critical contributions of non-senate academics to UC Merced. We are pleased
to announce 4 excellence awards for the 2021-2022 academic year. Each
nominated award recipient will receive a gift of $250 at the beginning of
the 2021-22 academic year to be used toward professional development.
Eligible job titles for these awards include lecturer, librarian,
professional researcher, project scientist, and specialist. The 4 awards
are:   -Excellence in Teaching -Excellence in Mentoring -Excellence in
Research -Distinguished Service   Please see the linked Call for

16, 2021 In addition to these excellence awards, we are also looking to
develop and support research efforts and professional development for our

research equipment, professional development, and academic research
