[Nsac] Fall 2020-NSAC Kick Off Meeting

Hello Fellow NSAC Members,

I hope everyone is doing well so far this semester. These are challenging times for sure! I'm with you all on that note. I've been encouraged by continuing communion between fellow UC Merced colleagues in various departments and positions.

I wanted to let you know that we are very excited to continue the shared governance mission of NSAC this fall with important developments with increased representation for NSF and continued opportunities for advocacy in all areas of campus governance. We would also like to be able to get a more robust performance review system in place in areas of campus that are currently struggling with this process.

I recently sent out a message to our new Chancellor, and I will share that with you all during our first kick-off meeting, that I anticipate happening no later than the second week of October. Yes, it is already October!
