Hi Iris,

I would be happy to do it but you may want to double check with Greg whether someone with an affiliate title can participate or not. I am no longer a UCM employee, transferred to ANR last Oct, but I continue to hold 0 FTE Adjunct Professor appointment in SoE. I have been with CEE as an adjunct since 2015.

On the related note, I have been little reluctant to participate in NSAC activities as I am not sure whether adjunct title is included or not. As I said, I no longer hold the professional researcher title. You may already no this but adjuncts in CEE are required to teach. Appreciate some clarification on this as well.

Hello NSAC members:

The EVC Provost Camfield has requested that we find a non-senate representative to serve on the review committee for Dr. Mark Matsumoto, Dean of the School of Engineering.

Ideally, this person should be familiar with his service to UC Merced but not have any conflicts of interest in participating in this review. Do you all know of anyone from Engineering that would be a good candidate? I think this would be a great opportunity to have our voices heard in the review processes that occur with upper administration.

Might any of you have anyone in mind?

I appreciate it.
