[MetaSTEM] MetaSTEM meetings for the semester

Hi MetaSTEMmers,

And for our first meeting, we'll discuss the *institutional and epistemic
consequences of a particularly contentious aspect of the peer-review
process: publication fees*, including publication fees for Open Access

Paul Smaldino will discuss his new preprint on the topic. Please see
attached. It's short, so I think our meeting will be most lively if we can
read it beforehand (9 pages double spaced). Regardless, Paul will start by
giving an overview of his argument, and then we can discuss.
