[LDES-technology] Draft Final Report for CEC long-duration energy storage project

Dear collaborators,

Those who have been funded in recent months have been working actively with me to prepare this report. But, some of you may be seeing this for the first time – I hope you don’t mind having been left out of that loop.
Note that this is the DRAFT, not the final version. It is due on October 31 with the plan that CEC will be giving us feedback and that we will be revising it to submit as the Final Report.
I would have liked to have this be more polished than it is and to have circulated it to all of you a month before it was due, but when a report is more than 60 pages long it is difficult. So, if you would like to review it carefully, please consider that you will have a month or so before the final version is due.

I think it is something we can be quite proud of, even if it’s not fully polished – it summarizes an impressive amount of work.

If you see something that you would like to change, I would like to hear about it, though I suggest that it might be most useful to compile your revisions along with those from the CEC. Note that they might come back and ask to have things revised in a significant way – I hope not, but E3 said that they were asked for major changes.

I’m still struggling with how to recognize all of the people who have been helpful. It’s difficult to know where to draw the line – some people talked with us once, some talked with us multiple times, etc. Before filing the final report, I would like to go back and find a longer list of names to acknowledge – certainly, if there’s someone I forgot and you would like to see them recognized, please point that out sooner rather than later.
