Just a quick reminder of the meeting we have coming up this Friday at 10 am.
I apologize if you’ve gotten multiple messages about this. I’m learning that sometimes an update to a calendar invite comes through as an email and other times it updates the calendar without appearing in your in box.
In any case, I hope you’ll be able to join us.

Subject: Update on our work on Long Duration Energy Storage
Location: https://ucmerced.zoom.us/j/4364884550

We are pleased to invite you to join us to hear our latest results.
On Friday, July 21,

Zabir Mahmud will present “Effect of solar panel mounting configurations on California renewables-driven grid.”
A follow up on the study that Russ Jones did, but this time using a full capacity expansion model.

Mariela Colombo will present “The value of oxy-combustion on renewable-driven grids”.
A closed-loop oxy-combustion technology (Allam Cycle) is modeled in a capacity expansion model to assess its value on renewable-driven grids, such as California. The impact on renewable energy and storage capacity are analyzed, as well as the role of this resource in meeting future energy needs.

I hope you’ll be able to join us.
Sarah
