As we move into the next grid crisis for California you may want to watch:

Note that prices are typically $30/MW during the day, but earlier today, prices spiked to about 10 times that or even higher.

We hope that they will be able to handle it gracefully.  Note that they now have 3 GW of batteries reported to be supplying the grid during peak demand times.  These are the days when having more energy storage would be good.
