[LDES-technology] Questions for the technology team

Hello everyone,
Here are the questions we're hoping to get some answers on tomorrow!
1. What is the expected range of values for response time of storage
technologies? We're especially interested in knowing what fraction of
technologies have a response time of under an hour. (One hour is the length
of one time step in our model so modelling response times for more or less
than an hour is different. Ideally all the technologies fall on one side of
the 1 hour mark.)
2. Similarly, what's the expected range of values for ramp up and down
rates (for both charging and discharging)? What fraction of technologies
can reach maximum charging or discharging in under an hour?
3. What's the best way to specify the ramp up and down rates for
charging and discharging? As x MW per hour or as x percent of the project's
total capacity per hour? In other words, is the ramp rate proportional to
the capacity or fixed for a given project?
Looking forward to meeting everyone!
Martin
