There will be a lot of people on this call so there won’t be much time to ask questions, but if you want to join it may help you better understand the directives we are getting. In 2020, the CEC awarded two grants ($1.5M each) to develop models to better understand the need for long duration energy storage to meet California future grid management needs and what duration of energy storage has the highest value to California. Each grant was required to develop three or more scenarios to address this need and we are now going to review those scenarios and down select each grant to one scenario for their detailed modelling analysis. This meeting is with one of the two grant recipients, University of California, Merced. This meeting is being held to inform the selection and development of UC Merced’s final scenario and analysis, which are expected to be completed in Q1 2023.
