Each year, approximately 29 million people are seen for a dental visit but not a medical visit, making dental visits a valuable opportunity to screen for health risks such as high blood pressure. As trusted points of contact, oral health teams are uniquely positioned to support early detection, provide patient education, and facilitate critical coordinated care.



Join CareQuest Institute and the American Heart Association for a webinar that will explore the connection between heart health and oral health, with a focus on the importance of high blood pressure screening. Expert speakers will review why screenings, referrals, and patient education matter in oral health settings — and how these actions can help reduce the risk of unmanaged conditions that can lead to medical emergencies. They’ll also highlight practical decision‑making frameworks, share real-world implementation models, and showcase tools and resources — including the American Heart Association’s Healthy Smiles, Healthy Hearts™ initiative in collaboration with Delta Dental — to support adoption in everyday practice.
