The Houston Methodist Bridge to Medicine & Research Program <https://www.houstonmethodist.org/about-us/office-of-culture-and-engagement/bridge-to-medicine-and-research-program/> is a paid, part-time (20 hours per week) pathway program designed for recent bachelor's level graduates seeking to strengthen their readiness for graduate or medical school.
This program supports individuals who are building their experience, skills and competitiveness for advanced degree programs through mentored research, clinical exposure, professional development and career exploration opportunities.
Benefits

Eligibility
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Completed bachelor's degree within the last 2 years
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. citizens, permanent residents or individuals with valid work authorization, such as F-1, J-1, or EAD)

1. Have all personal information, resume, and transcript files ready for entry (PDF or MS doc).
2. Have two professional references with contact emails for your letters of recommendation.

3. Have your essay question responses ready for entry (questions available on the program website).

Who Should Apply?
Recent graduates looking to build experience and strengthen their readiness for graduate or medical school. Students from the following academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply:
• Biology, chemistry, biochemistry
• Engineering (biomedical, chemical, mechanical, etc.)
• Computer science, data science, bioinformatics
• Public health, Neuroscience, psychology
• Health sciences or pre-health tracks
