Deadline for submission of applications

  *   All applications must be submitted online by 11:59 pm on June 30, 2026
  *   Late applications will NOT be accepted
  *   Paper applications will NOT be accepted



Scholarship Awards

  *   Minimum of 14 - $5,000 one-time scholarships
  *   Minimum of 1 - $10,000 one-time scholarship



The CA LGBTQ Foundation Scholarship<https://calgbtfoundation.org/scholarship> was established to help LGBTQ+ Californians, and their allies, achieve their dreams through higher education.



Eligibility Requirements

  *   All California residents may apply and will be considered.
  *   Applicants must currently live in or plan to live in California for the duration of your program.
  *   Applicants must be enrolled full time in an accredited California college or trade school for the 2026-2027 academic year.
  *   Applicants may be community college, undergraduate, graduate, or PhD students.
  *   Applicants may be incoming, continuing, or returning students.



Applicants must submit the following items:

  *   Completed Application
  *   Resume
  *   Transcript (Official or Unofficial)
  *   2 Letters of Recommendation
  *   Copy of Acceptance Letter/Enrollment Verification Letter



Additionally, Applicants must submit:

Both of the following:

  *   1–2 page paper or short video (2-5 min) of you explaining what the future of the LGBTQ+ Community looks like to you.



and

  *   1–2 page paper or short video (2-5 min) discussing a project you have worked on or would like to work on that moves us closer to the future of the LGBTQ+ community you have envisioned.
