CHECK TIME ZONE
The Mass General Brigham Rising Stars in Science and Medicine Program<https://www.massgeneralbrigham.org/en/education-and-training/academic-development-and-enrichment/rising-stars-science-medicine-program> is an eight-week summer research experience for undergraduate rising seniors, seniors, pre-med students, and first-year medical students interested in careers as physicians, scientists, and/or health care professionals. Students from across the nation receive intensive hands-on research training in research methods and practice directly in the laboratories of Mass General Brigham and with Harvard Medical School leading researchers, participate in career development workshops with faculty from Mass General Brigham, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard School of Public Health, and present their work at a final research presentation day. The program welcomes all applicants, with a focus on those committed to academic medicine, biomedical research, and improving health in underserved communities. A stipend and housing are provided. Rising Stars builds on the legacy of the BWH STARS Program and the MGH Summer Research Trainee Program (SRTP), which together have trained more than 700 students who have gone on to impactful careers in medicine, science, and patient care.
