Below are more details about our program features and the application process.

2026 Spring Internship Cohort Details:

*    Cohort dates: February 3 - May 15, 2026

*    Interns receive hands-on experience working with the largest public health organization in the state.

*    Remote, hybrid, and onsite opportunities are available. Onsite placements are primarily available at our Richmond and Sacramento locations.

*    Students studying Public Health, Data and Informatics, Information Technologies, Communications, Health Education, and other supporting fields are encouraged to apply.

*    Interns are paid between $18 and $21 per hour and work between 18 to 29 hours per week.

*    Paid interns must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States. DACA and International students are eligible to apply.

*    Applicants must be enrolled in an affiliated college or university<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://calinterns.org/wp-content/uploads/Affiliation_List.pdf__;!!LQC6Cpwp!vFtp1YArYppQmYMwkRoWzF6aLjUHjowEom3KDiKS75UkrACCid7M7hLdp-kkpmzO4OF2OqC26mi-NV62A9mXbtJl-yzK$> and reside in California throughout the duration of the internship.

*       Priority is given to college seniors and juniors, masters candidates, and transferring junior college students.
