We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support the Lights of Hope 5K Santa Run<https://www.mccd.edu/event/lights-of-hope-5k-santa-run/>
Proceeds go to Merced College for Kids<https://www.mccd.edu/schools-programs/community-education/college-for-kids/> and the Merced Cancer Society Foundation<https://www.instagram.com/explore/locations/167534514112303/merced-cancer-society-foundation/>
📅 Friday, December 12, 2025  —  Volunteer time blocks are from 9:00am-5:00pm on Friday (set up)
📅 Saturday, December 13, 2025  —  Event Day - Volunteer time blocks 9:00am-7:30 pm (event day)
Volunteers play a huge role in making this event fun, safe, and successful for everyone in the community. Whether you can help with setup, directing runners, or passing out snacks, your support is deeply appreciated!
Volunteer Roles Include:
·                  Event Setup (Dec 12)
·                  Directing runners along the route
·                  Passing out snacks & water
·                  Registration table assistance
·                  Activity/booth support
·                  Guiding participants & crowd flow
·                  Cleanup
·                  Anywhere help is needed
Volunteer Requirements:
·                  Minimum 3-hour shift if possible
·                  Friendly, reliable, and ready to spread holiday cheer!
·                   UC Merced student
