UCSF San Joaquin Valley PRIME (SJV PRIME)<https://meded.ucsf.edu/ucsf-san-joaquin-valley-prime-sjv-prime> and Program in Medical Education for the Urban Underserved (PRIME-US)<https://meded.ucsf.edu/prime-us-program> are hosting the annual PRIME Statewide Conference<https://meded.ucsf.edu/2026-uc-prime-statewide-conference> from Friday-Saturday, January 23-24, 2026 VIRTUALLY on Zoom!

On Saturday, January 24, we will be hosting mentorship events for high school students and college and post-baccalaureate pre-medical students.

Join us for a virtual mentorship event connecting high school and pre-med students with UCSF pre-health, PRIME+, and medical students. Hear real stories, get honest advice, and explore pathways into healthcare and the PRIME programs.

For college and post-baccalaureate pre-medical students:
*Speed Mentoring Session (Saturday, January 24 - 11 - 11:45 a.m. PST)
Thinking about a career in medicine and want to speak with various medical students to gain more insight about the field? Join our Speed Mentoring Session and connect one-on-one with medical students to learn about their journeys, motivations, and experiences in medicine. During this interactive session, you'll rotate through a series of medical students---giving you the chance to ask questions, seek advice, or simply chat about topics that interest you. It's a great opportunity to build connections, gain insight, and find guidance as you explore your own path toward medicine!

*Please note this event has limited capacity. All interested participants will be randomly selected for available spots to ensure fairness. If space becomes full, you may be placed on a waitlist and notified if a spot opens up.

For high school students:
Pre-Health Professional and SJV PRIME+ BS/MD Students Panel (Saturday, January 24 - 10 - 11 a.m. PST)
Interested in exploring careers in healthcare or learning how to prepare for higher education after high school? Come join us for our Pre-Health Professional and SJV PRIME+ BS/MD Students Panel! You'll hear from pre-health professional students from UCSF Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Nursing as well as SJV PRIME+ BS/MD students<https://admissions.ucmerced.edu/SJVP-BStoMD>. This will be a great opportunity for you to ask and learn more about their paths, challenges, and advice on how to navigate your own journey in healthcare!
