UC Merced & CCAH Undergraguate Student Research Opportunity
Project Overview:

  *   Project description: UC Merced in collaboration with the Central California Alliance for Health (CCAH) will conduct a project with the aim of exploring vaccine hesitancy and emergency department utilization among the Latinx community in the Central Valley, specifically in Merced, CA. The project will consist of conducting community member focus groups and analyzing the data collected. This is a great opportunity for students interested in healthcare careers and exploring health issues most relevant to the community in Merced.
  *   RA duties and commitment: Accepted students will participate in a variety of assignments, including assisting research staff with in-person focus groups in Merced, collecting participant data, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and sharing findings with the community. Students can expect to participate 3-6 hours per week.
  *   Compensation: Students will have the opportunity to either enroll in course credit or receive a stipend. You will indicate which you prefer in the following questions.
  *   Application Review: Research staff will review all applications and contact students of application statuses. Selected students will then be invited to be interviewed in mid-late January and notified of a decision.
