[Digital_humanities] Fw: SIG pre-conf meetings DH2022

Also sending a link to the DH 2022 call.
The conference is hybrid: "At the time of submission, the author(s) should indicate whether they anticipate participating in the conference in person or remotely."

I am a co-convener of the Libraries & DH SIG -- and, there are opportunities for SIGs to sponsor/review pre-conference workshops. Let me know if you are interested, and I can describe our activities in the past.

In 2019, we organized a full pre-conference at Utrecht.
https://adholibdh.github.io/dh2019-preconference/

Other years we have focused on half-day pre-conference workshops: Collections as Data (Montreal), Archives(Mexico City).
ADHO has several Special Interest Groups -- Global Outlook, AV, Pedagogy -- and it's a great way to meet and work with int'l colleagues.

Subject: [Sig-conveners] SIG pre-conf meetings DH2022

Dear all,

You’ve probably heard already, but just to be sure: DH2022 has issued their call!

https://dh2022.adho.org/cfp/en --- deadline for non-SIG-related submissions is 30 November.

For SIGs, as agreed, the cfp has this info:

“ADHO’s <https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fadho.org%2Fspecial-interest-groups-sigs&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNF2NTxdijbY4v7Yt6WFU9BYMGjoXw> Special Interest Groups<https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fadho.org%2Fspecial-interest-groups-sigs&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNF2NTxdijbY4v7Yt6WFU9BYMGjoXw> (SIGs) will be holding topical pre-conference meetings that will undergo separate review via SIG organizers. Please contact SIG organizers before submitting a workshop or tutorial proposal on a duplicative SIG topic.”

We’ll try and organize a conveners’ meeting somewhere around July 25-29, 2022, either at Toshi Center Hotel, on zoom, or hybrid.

Very best,

Berenike
