<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-family:"Garamond",serif">Project 1: Understanding Barriers to Vaccination in California’s San Joaquín Valley</span></b><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Garamond",serif">This project is supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention through the California Department of Public Health and is in collaboration with the Merced and Madera Counties Departments
of Public Health. The overall aim of this project is to understand the structural barriers to COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination coverage for racial and ethnic groups experiencing disparities. Adult vaccination coverage in the U.S. remains low and
significant racial and ethnic disparities exist. The groups experiencing disparities are also disproportionately affected by COVID-19, at risk for serious illness from COVID-19, and/or at high risk for complications from influenza infections. Given the co-circulation
of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza, there is a critical opportunity to ensure equitable uptake of COVID-19 and flu vaccines. The data for this project include:</span><o:p></o:p></p>
