The O'Connell lab at Chapman University has funding to directly support a <b>
<u>postdoctoral research associate</u></b>, as well as the opportunity to support a
<b><u>postdoctoral research and teaching fellow</u></b> through our innovative Grand Challenges Initiative (a great jumping off point for postdocs who want to head to primarily-undergraduate institutions or R2s). Postdoctoral scientists in
 the group could work on any of the following:</div>

- Support the synthesis and publication of biogeochemistry data from drought, warming and/or hurricane experiments carried out in the Luquillo LTER, Puerto Rico</div>

- Couple remote sensing to plot-level ecosystem variables in order to explore the implications of global change on different ecosystem properties</div>
