hydrology, invertebrates, and plant communities in wet meadows and fens. Surveys are conducted in remote wilderness locations: SIEN is seeking someone skilled in conducting fieldwork in mountainous terrain to oversee the field crews that collect the data.
Crews are self-supported, backpacking for ~8 days at a time to reach and work at remote study sites. Being mountain parks, the field season is constrained to between June and October. In the off season the ecologist is responsible for managing, summarizing,
analyzing, and publishing the data associated with these monitoring programs. I&M is looking for someone with strong quantitative skills to take on these tasks.<br>
