Postdoc in plant-microbial interactions: This researcher will study plant-microbial interactions for sustainable bioenergy, with an emphasis on rhizosphere- and mycorrhizal-microbiome interactions. The researcher will conduct greenhouse
and field experiments to investigate the fundamental mechanisms underpinning plant-associated symbioses, and will use a suite of tools including stable isotope probing (SIP)-targeted metagenomics, metabolomics, and isotopic imaging (NanoSIMS) of microorganisms
associated with plants and soil.

Postdoc(s) in phage biology/isotope tracing: These researchers will use molecular microbial community analysis, advanced genomics and isotope tracing to understand the role of phage in soil. This research will involve stable isotope
probing, isotopic imaging (NanoSIMS), and analysis of complex metagenomic datasets and will support LLNL’s multi-investigator program in microbial carbon cycle genomic sciences.
