<p class="MsoNormal">Dear Dr. Zatz,<br>
I’m writing to remind you that the deadlines are fast approaching for registering for the FOBGAPT2 conference (<a href="https://gs.ucdenver.edu/fobgapt2/main.php" target="_blank">https://gs.ucdenver.edu/<wbr>fobgapt2/main.php</a>, flyer attached) to be held in Denver
on June 8-10, 2017. The conference will be organized to maximize discussion. Concurrent workshops will be held to allow all participants to contribute actively to all workshops to produce both a compendium of best practices at institutions and consensus support
for national policy recommendations. Outcomes will be published shortly after the meeting. We encourage you to submit one or more 2-page “What Works” abstracts for the same April 15th deadline to be published along with the conference white paper on the
web site and be used by the Workshop co-Chairs to help stimulate discussions on the five Workshop topics. In addition it would be advisable to reserve your room as soon as possible at the special FOBGAPT2 rates at one of the hotels listed on the conference
web site, since they are convenient to the venue.<br>
Please feel free to share this information with anyone you feel might be interested in attending. We are hoping for broad representation from academia, the private sector, non-profits, funding agencies, and trainees.
<u>If you know of graduate students and postdocs in the biosciences who have been actively engaged in this discussion but who do not have institutional funds to attend, please refer them to our web site for information on applying for Travel Awards
<b>by April 1st</b></u>. We anticipate being able to fund up to 20 awards to trainees for up to $1650 each to cover registration, lodging and travel expenses, and we will notify award recipients before the application deadline of April 15.<br>
If you have any questions, please contact one of us (<a href="mailto:david.engelke@ucdenver.edu" target="_blank">david.engelke@ucdenver.edu</a>,
