Good afternoon,
Just a reminder that the application deadline for the 2018-19 GloCal Health
Fellowship Program is fast approaching! Applications are due *November 1,
2017.*
These NIH Fogarty Fellowships are for advanced doctoral and professional
students at any of the 10 UC campuses, as well as postdoctoral fellows from
the U.S. or one of 17 partner countries.
The GloCal Health Fellowship is a 12-month mentored research fellowship for
investigators interested in studying diseases and conditions in developing
countries. Top-tier global health faculty from the UC campuses and
international sites mentor fellows, thus engaging in rich and enduring
experiences that will foster scientific and career development in global
health research. There are currently 20 affiliated international sites
across 17 countries involved in this program, including Sokoine University
of Agriculture and the Congo Basin Institute, both of which include faculty
working on One Health and Planetary Health issues.
Questions can also be submitted to me (kaleasure at ucdavis.edu) and Dr.
Conrad (paconrad at ucdavis.edu) via email. Please feel free to share this
information with any who may be interested. Further details can be found
on the attached flyer, or by visiting (www.glocalfellows.org).
