<p class="MsoNormal">The CEC has suggested that one of the more useful topics we could study in Phase 2 of our project would be the imports and exports. Historically, CAISO has imported substantial electricity. Modeling of a future grid suggests that the wide
addition of solar to California might result in CAISO becoming a net exporter of electricity, though not necessarily at all hours of the day or year. As you understand, a regional grid that is effective at using transmission will have very different needs
for storage than a grid that has limited transmission. <o:p class=""></o:p></p>
