electric sector in producing hydrogen for both California end uses and for energy storage within the sector. They employ the Grid Optimized Oper ation Dispatch (GOOD) model to simulate the operation of power plants in t he Western Interconnect (WECC) through 2050 under a range of scenarios\, w ith particular focus on a high hydrogen end use scenario and cost-effectiv e hydrogen storage opportunities. They will present findings for how the e lectricity grid will build-out capacity and respond to the dynamics of cou pling hydrogen demand from transportation and other end uses.
