<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-ligatures:none">Dr. Igor Mitrovic Professor of Physiology and Clinical Pharmacy and a Co-Vice Dean for PharmD Education at University of California
San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Mitrovic earned his MD degree in 1991. following the studies at University of Zagreb, Croatia, and University of Belgrade, Serbia. Following medical school, Dr. Mitrovic did neurobiology of addiction research at Loyola University
Medical School in Chicago and research in neurobiology of pain at UCSF. Dr. Mitrovic joined Department of Physiology, UCSF in 2001. Dr. Mitrovic is a teaching faculty responsible for physiology and pathophysiology curriculum across the professional schools
at UCSF (Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dentistry). Dr. Mitrovic has participated in developing UCSF School of Medicine integrated curriculum and was a key designer of UCSF School of Pharmacy innovative, competency-based, integrated curriculum. Dr. Mitrovic has also
participated in designing BS component of the SJV BS/MD program. Moreover, he has done a lot of work in both faculty and curricular development domestically and internationally.</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;mso-ligatures:none"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-ligatures:none">Dr. Mitrovic cares deeply about student and faculty professional success, and he has mentored numerous UCSF students, postdoctoral
fellows, residents, and junior faculty and many underprivileged undergraduate students.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-ligatures:none">Through the teaching and mentoring, Dr. Mitrovic became aware of critical importance of two factors for the academic and professional
success: access to right information and emotional resiliency. While the information can be addressed readily, addressing the issue of resiliency is much harder. Thus, he joined forces with several colleagues to develop Emotional Brain Training, a neuroscience-based
psychotherapeutic method designed to increase stress resilience and promote well-being.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-ligatures:none">Over the years, Dr. Mitrovic he has received numerous teaching awards for his contribution to education at UCSF and other institutions
including a number of “teacher of the year” awards at UCSF School of Pharmacy, School of Medicine, and School of Dentistry as well as Distinction in Teaching Award from the UCSF Academic Senate and a honorary Doctorate from University of Kragujevac Republic
of Serbia.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
