The Future Leaders in Surgery Symposium for Underrepresented Students (FLXSUS) is a unique opportunity for high school and undergraduate students to get exposure to the incredible fields of neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, and plastic
surgery. As a participant, you will have access to extraordinary surgical cases, mentorship from faculty, residents, and medical students, and learn about groundbreaking research from renowned leaders in neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, and plastic surgery.
This year, we are hosting three virtual symposiums, one for neurosurgery (FLNSUS - Sept 30), one for orthopedic surgery (FLOSUS - Sept 16), and one for plastic surgery (FLPSUS - Sept 23). Additionally, we will have an in-person symposium (Oct 7) that will
encompass all three specialties. The in-person symposium will include opportunities to hear from a medical school admissions representative; a luncheon with medical students, residents, and attendings; and interactive sessions to learn surgical skills.
