Hello,



My name is Jonathan Plascencia and I am a D2 at UCSF School of Dentistry and current board member of the UCSF Hispanic Student Dental Association.



I am contacting you regarding our annual pre-dental conference "Building Bridges" which will be an in-person conference on May 14th, 2022 from 8am-1pm. Building Bridges is an annual event put on by the UCSF School of Dentistry targeted towards pre-dental students who demonstrate potential to serve in areas of high dental need upon completion of dental school. Our goal is to help provide pre-dental students with resources that will help them get accepted into a dental program. The conference includes: narratives of specialists and general dentists from underrepresented backgrounds, simulation lab hands-on activity, how to navigate through the DAT, application cycle, interviewing, and life in dental school. Additionally, attendees can apply for an opportunity to receive a scholarship by submitting their personal statement!
