Are you interested in becoming a pharmacist? Do you want to learn about the path to pharmacy school? Are you a pre-pharmacy student looking for mentorship?

Join our Together We Mentor (TWM): Pathway to Pharmacy to hear from our guest speaker and to learn more!

Join us for an evening of mentorship with our guest speaker: Rodolfo Gonzalez Rios, PharmD. During this event he will share his journey about pre-pharm and pharmacy school itself.

Through this event, our speaker will share how to become a competitive applicant, go over their application process and how they prepared to apply to pharmacy school.  From the extracurricular activities they did to what it is like to be a pharmacy student, they will share their perspective and the challenges they faced throughout their journey. Our speaker will also share about his journey as a pharmacy student, and provide helpful advice that helped him throughout his journey.

This event will be an opportunity to provide one-on-one mentorship to aspiring pre-pharm students. This event will demonstrate how every student has their own story and that with the right preparation, you can get into pharmacy school.

This event is open to all pre-health students who are interested in learning about pharmacy, but geared more to pre-pharm students.

Guest Speaker:

Rodolfo Gonzalez Rios, PharmD - Rodolfo is a graduate from UCSF School of Pharmacy. He was born in Oaxaca, Mexico and raised in Fresno, CA where he attended California State University, Fresno. After graduating, Rodolfo moved to San Francisco, CA and pioneered in the new three-year pharmacy curriculum at UCSF School of Pharmacy. He became a member of a student-led organization called the Latino Association of Pharmacy Students (LAPS) and later took the position as president. Rodolfo and his colleagues helped establish the National Hispanic Pharmacists Association at UCSF, to continue the extraordinary work of LAPS. After graduating from UCSF School of Pharmacy, he returned to the valley to give back to the underserved community as a bilingual pharmacist and serve as a healthcare leader in the valley.
