My name is Kristina Cortez and I am a D2 at the UCSF School of Dentistry and Pre-Dental Chair for the UCSF Hispanic Student Dental Association (HSDA).

I am contacting you regarding our 3rd annual pre-dental conference "Building Bridges". Building Bridges is a collaborative effort between the UCSF School of Dentistry and UOP Arthur A. Dugoni . The event is a two-day outreach event targeted towards pre-dental students who demonstrate potential to serve in areas of high dental need upon completion of dental school. Our goal is to help provide pre-dental students with resources that will help them get accepted into a dental program. The conference includes: live student panels, narratives of specialists and general dentists from underrepresented backgrounds, hands-on simulation lab and anatomy lab exercises, long-term mentorship post-conference to help attendees throughout their dental school cycle, and how to navigate through the DAT, application cycle, interviewing, and life in dental school. Although limited, free housing is available for those accepted to attend. Attached is our flyer (PDF and JPEG) that includes the application link, deadline, and Facebook event that you can share with all pre-dental students.
