Hello Students!

Are you looking for more opportunities to get involved in research? UC Merced has established a foundation of having the highest proportion of undergraduates involved in research of any UC campus. Each year, through the Center of Excellence on the Study of Health Disparities, research opportunities are offered for up to three students per faculty member. The Undergraduate Pre-health Scholars Research program will offer students the opportunity to begin research during the summer and continue it through the academic year. The summer program will be intensive-generally requiring students to commit to full-time work-in time, such that students are expected to not take classes or work at another job over the summer. Continuing research during the academic year will require time management, and progress may be slow. However, this may offer you a long-term project and the opportunity to participate in senior thesis projects, publications, attend professional meetings and become integrated into a research group. If you are interested in this program, applications and more information can be found by visit here: http://prehealth.ucmerced.edu/undergraduate-pre-health-scholars-program/research-opportunities. Applications are due by March 16th, so apply soon!

Best Regards,
