I wanted to let you all know of two upcoming pre-medical/pre-health conferences.  Please pass along to any other interested students.

 

 

2008 Latino Medical Student Association Conference

The conference will feature many different workshops including medical student panels, resident panels, and workshops on study skills, leadership and how to become a better applicant.  In addition, during the conference you will have the opportunity to meet many recruiters from different medical schools at the exhibitor tables.  Advisors are welcome!

DATES: Friday March 28 and Saturday March 29, 2008 (may attend one or both days)

TIME:   12-5 p.m. Friday (pre-medical students)

             8-5 p.m. Saturday (open to all)

PLACE:  UC Davis Medical Center--Medical Education Building (medical school)

COST:   Registration fee $30 for pre-med students

2008 Catch the Wave to Success Conference

Catch the Wave to Success Conference to be held Friday and Saturday April 11-12 at San Diego State University.  Register online at: http://www-rohan.sdsu.edu/%7Ecpo/conference/ <http://www-rohan.sdsu.edu/~cpo/conference/>   If you are a medical, dental, vet, PA, pharmacy, podiatry, public health, optometry, PT, chiropractic, naturopathic school or summer/postbac program, here is a chance to connect with students from universities, community colleges, and inner city high schools who are seriously interested in careers in the health professions.  Students will attend keynote addresses, workshops, a health professions school/vendor fair, enjoy three meals and get a cool Catch the Wave T-shirt.
