<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Qingqing is a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Systems Graduate Group at University of California Merced. She obtained her B.A. and M.A. in Management at China University of Geosciences Beijing.
She also received her M.B.A. in International Business at Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg in Germany. She is currently working with Dr. LeRoy Westerling on how drought and climate change affect public health via wildfires.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p style="margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Wildfires in California have been increasing in size and severity in recent decades. In addition to direct damage to environment features and humans in the wildfire burned
area, wildfire smoke affects air quality and public health that long outlast their flames. Her research seeks to model wildfire activities, estimate emissions, and explore whether the existing health and wildfire data are sufficient to develop computationally
efficient statistical methods that link wildfire pollution emissions to health impacts. She will present her most up-to-date findings and wish to receive feedbacks from you!</span><o:p></o:p></p>
