<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:#222222">Soil erosion has been intensively studied as regards the impact of biogeochemical cycling of essential elements, especially elemental carbon in terrestrial ecosystems. Quantifying
the carbon (C) fluxes induced by erosion within and from terrestrial ecosystems is vital for accurately evaluating the global C budget and predicting the critical role of erosion on the C sink/source on the Earth's climate system. Moreover, the results will
also provide scientific basis on designing proper management practice in the fragile ecosystem. In this talk we will explore differences in soil properties from potential sources at eroding settings and then select the appropriate tracers to identify the source
of organic matter in sediments at depositional settings (alluvial wedge retained by check dams) and during rainfall processes in the outlet of catchment with different management practices. In addition, the talk also argue the ecological effect of eroded sediment
organic carbon induced by soil erosion at the catchment scale from an eco-geomorphologic perspective.

and State Key Lab of Soil Erosion and Dryland Farming on the Loess Plateau (China), where he worked with Prof. Zhongwu Li. His research interests are soil erosion and source identification of eroded organic carbon using multiple fingerprints approach, and
he also estimate the relationships between land use change and soil erosion on soil organic carbon and nitrogen stocks on slope and catchment scales. So far, he has published SCI papers 17, which of those include first author papers 6 including one paper is
awarded as ESI hot paper (0.1%) and highly cited paper (1%) in agriculture science field globally. It is his pleasure to join in his talk to discuss about the topics involving climate change, soil science, human and ecologic health.
