Assessment and design of groundwater level monitoring network

Bio and Current Work
I am Chandan Kumar Singh, working as a postdoc at Sierra Nevada Research Institute (SNRI), UC Merced. I am working on Central Valley (California) hydrologic modeling under (Food -energy-water-system) INFEW project. One of the key aspects of this INFEWS project is modeling the central valley (California) under different land/crop and water management scenarios. My earlier contribution was to assess and design of groundwater level monitoring network for Wainganga basin, India.

My research aims at providing a methodology for designing groundwater level monitoring network in a complex aquifer system. Probably, the important contribution of my study was to formulate a methodology that made use of existing field data and various optimization approaches in RS and GIS environment.
